Who was Alan V. Tishman?
Alan Valentine Tishman was a Jewish American real estate developer. He was the head of Tishman Management and Leasing Corporation.
He helped bring coop apartment ownership to New York City and was one of the first brokers to bring office tenants to Park Avenue.
His political activism landed him on the master list of Nixon political opponents. He was a trustee of the American Museum of Natural History and served as vice president of the UJA Federation.
He was married to Margaret Westheimer Tishman who died in 2004. They had Two daughters as well as one son David Tishman, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
