Who was Albrecht of Saxe-Weissenfels?
Albrecht of Saxe-Weissenfels, was a German prince of the House of Wettin.
He was the fifth and youngest son of August, Duke of Saxe-Weissenfels, and his first wife, Anna Maria of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.
By the will of his father, Albrecht only received an income from his older brother's lands.
In Wertheim on 22 June 1687, Albrecht married Christine Therese of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rochefort. Without lands of his own, the couple spend most of their time with Christine's relatives in Wertheim. They had two daughters:
Anna Christine.
Maria Auguste.
