Who was Alex Nash?
Alex Nash was an Australian rules footballer who played with Hawthorn. His only VFL game, which was against Collingwood, was while he was on leave from RAAF duties.
A notable pilot, he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Medal for his efforts during World War II. He was killed in action over New Guinea when the bomber he was flying in was shot down.
