Who was Alexander Hume-Campbell?
The Honourable Alexander Hume-Campbell KC, was a Scottish nobleman and politician.
The son of Alexander Hume-Campbell, 2nd Earl of Marchmont, he entered parliament in 1734 for Berwickshire at the same time as his twin brother Lord Polwarth was elected for Berwick-upon-Tweed. He also held office as Lord Clerk Register of Scotland.
