Who is Alexandre Havard?

Alexandre Havard is the author of Virtuous Leadership — An Agenda for Personal Excellence and "Created for Greatness: The Power of Magnanimity". Since 2007 "Virtuous Leadership" has been translated into 15 languages, including Chinese and Russian.

Alexandre Havard is also the founder of the Havard Virtuous Leadership Institute, which promotes the classical virtues as the basis of effective leadership. It does so primarily through the mounting of leadership seminars that draw heavily on the Virtuous Leadership model set forth in Alexandre Havard’s book of the same name.

Born in France, A. Havard studied law in Paris and served as a barrister in Strasbourg and Helsinki. Since 2007, he has been living and working in Moscow.

Alexandre Havard's father, Cyril Havard, is the son of Russian emigrants, Pavel Havard-Dianin and Nina Anossova, who fled Saint Petersburg during the Bolshevik Revolution and settled, in the early 1920s, in Paris. His mother, Irene Gedevanishvili, is the daughter of Artchil Gedevanishvili, a Georgian aristocrat, who left the Soviet Union in 1926 and settled in Paris where he married Madeleine Ducrocq.
