Who is Alison Broinowski?
Dr. Alison W. Broinowski is an Australian academic, journalist, writer and former Australian public servant.
Born as Alison Woodroffe in Adelaide, South Australia, from 1946 to 1958 she attended the Wilderness School in her native Adelaide. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Adelaide University in 1962. She married Richard Philip Broinowski on 14 December 1963.
From 1963-64 she was a cadet for the Australian Department of External Affairs before beginning her extensive public service career, including various diplomatic postings, with the Department of Foreign Affairs.
In July 2013 Broinowski announced that she will run as The Wikileaks Party in New South Wales Senate candidate for at the 2013 Australian federal election.
