Who was Allen Jeardeau?
Allan Wilson Jeardeau was an American football and baseball coach. He served as the head football coach at Louisiana State University from 1896 to 1897, compiling a record of 7–1. In 1896, his first season with the Tigers, Jeardeau led the team to a 6–0 record and a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association championship. In 1898, Jeardeau was the head coach of the LSU Tigers baseball team. Jeardeau was a graduate of Harvard University.
