Who was Amasa Lyman?

Amasa Mason Lyman was an early leader in the Latter Day Saint movement and was an apostle of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was also a counselor in the First Presidency to founder and President of the Church Joseph Smith, Jr.
