Who is Amin Gulgee?

Amin Gulgee Urdu:امین گلجی is a Pakistani metal sculptor, the son of Pakistani artist Ismail Gulgee. His Web site lists his inspirations as Pakistan's spiritual history, Hindu mythology, Buddhist civilisation and Islamic calligraphy. "I work in order to understand myself. It is a highly personal journey in which I try to discover a balance with my inner self, my culture and my God" he wrote. He holds a 1987 B.A. in Economics and Art History from Yale University. He received the Cogar B. Goodyear Fine Arts Award for his thesis on Moghul gardens.

He is also famous for his jewellery.
