Who is Amr Dabbagh?

Amr Dabbagh, was second Governor the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority, served from 22 March 2004 to 18 May 2012.

Dabbagh, effectively served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Dabbagh Group from 1991 to 22 March 2002. Under his stewardship, Dabbagh Group was reorganized into a portfolio-driven enterprise which experienced phenomenal growth in each of its five core areas of concentration: TMT, energy, food, real estate development and financial services. Governor Al Dabbagh and SAGIA host the Global Competitiveness Forum, an annual event that features hundreds of global CEOs and heads of state and other leaders. Past speakers have included Bill Gates, John Chambers and Lee Kuan Yew.
