Who is Andrew L. Malcolm?

Andrew L. Malcolm has been named vice president of the Sysco corporation and chairman of SYSCO's specialty meat companies. In his new role he will provide strategic leadership to SYSCO's specialty meat companies and also support the growth of premium protein products at SYSCO's broadline distribution companies throughout North America.Mr. Malcolm founded Malcolm Meats in 1982 in Northwood, Ohio. Malcolm Meats is a Certified Angus Beef processor and distributor and is also a leading supplier of pork, lamb, veal and poultry products throughout the midwestern portion of the United States. In 2002, SYSCO expanded the market presence of Malcolm Meats when it opened a second facility in Chicago, for which Mr. Malcolm also serves as president. The following year Mr. Malcolm assumed the added duties as chairman of Freedman Meats, a SYSCO specialty meat subsidiary with four locations in Texas and one in Denver.
