Who is Andrew Orpik?

Andrew Orpik is an American retired professional ice hockey player.

After spending the 2004–05 season at Thayer Academy, he was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the 7th round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft with the 227th selection. He played four seasons at Boston College and graduated with a degree in Marketing.

Orpik was not signed to an entry level contract by the Sabres, causing the release of his rights. On August 25, 2009 Orpik signed with the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL. Orpik previously played for the Las Vegas Wranglers, which is a Phoenix Coyotes affiliated ECHL team, and played several games for the San Antonio Rampage in 2009. On August 13, 2010, Orpik signed a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins minor league affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
