Who is Andrzej Gronowicz?

Andrzej Gronowicz is a Polish sprint canoer who competed in the 1970s. Competing in two Summer Olympics, he won a silver medal in the C-2 500 m event at Montreal in 1976.

Gronowicz also won three medals at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships with a silver and two bronzes.

Gronowicz became the head coach of the Saskatoon Racing Canoe Club of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, in 1988. He is a certified Level 3 coach under the NCCP and is pursuing Level 4 certification. His athletes have gone on to compete internationally at the Summer Olympics and the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships.
