Who is Andrzej Rzepliński?
Andrzej Rzepliński – Polish lawyer, human right expert, member of International Helsinki Federation for Human Rights, president of the Polish Constitutional Tribunal.
Until martial law in Poland was introduced in 1981 he was an apparatchik of Polish United Workers' Party. In its aftermath he has joined Polish opposition, the Solidarity trade union, and was removed from the PUWP party.
In 1997 he received the Polonia Restituta award.
In December 2007 with recommendation of Civic Platform he was elected as a member of Constitutional Tribunal of the Republic of Poland. In December 2010 he became president of the Tribunal.
