Who is Angela McLean?
Angela McLean, FRS is Professor of Mathematical Biology in the Department of Zoology at the University of Oxford.
She studied Mathematics at Oxford and earned a PhD in Biomathematics from Imperial College, London. In 1990 she became a Royal Society Research Fellow at Oxford and then, in 1994, was on secondment at the Pasteur Institute in Paris.
She then became head of Mathematical Biology at the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council's Institute for Animal Health and in 1994 Professor of Mathematical Biology in the Department of Biology at Oxford.
