Who is Anil Pereira?
Anil Pereira is Founder CEO of SecondSpace,
Inc.,
an online services company, and serves as an advisor to a number of
privately-held startups. He is best known for his leadership role at
internet services provider VeriSign, where, during his six-year tenure,
he was instrumental in launching numerous high-growth businesses,
generating hundreds of millions of dollars in annual revenues. During
this time, VeriSign grew from 90 to 3,500 employees and from $500,000
to $1.2 billion in revenues.
From
2003-2004, Anil served as Senior Vice President of New Businesses and
International for Classmates Online, prior to its sale to United
Online. At Classmates, he launched several new businesses, including
Classmates' highly successful European operations. Earlier in his
career, he spent six years at American Express in a variety of
executive roles, including Vice President of the Affinity Card Group
and head of Direct Response Television.
Anil
holds a Bachelor of Management Degree (with Great Distinction) from the
University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada where he was named Alumnus
of the Year in 2000. He also holds an MBA in Strategy and Finance from
the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
