Who is Anne Duffin?
Dr. Anne Duffin is a freelance historian and part-time lecturer at the University of Exeter. She is best known for her work Faction and Faith: Politics and Religion of the Cornish Gentry before the Civil War.
It covers the history of Cornwall in the early seventeenth-century, making extensive use of original documents from the period. One of its main theses is that the area was not naturally inclined to be royalist during the English Civil War.
