Who is Anne Plunkett?
Anne Maree Plunkett is Ambassador for Australia to Portugal. The Ambassador to Portugal has non-resident accreditation to Cape Verde and São Tomé and Príncipe.
Ms Plunkett is a senior career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade who held the position of Assistant Secretary, Protocol Branch and Chief of Protocol, from November 2009 until December 2011.
She has been Ambassador for Australia to the Republic of Ireland and the Holy See, the latter position becoming formalised by Pope Benedict XVI on 18 May 2006 when he accepted her letters of credence.
