Who was Annie Oakley?

Annie Oakley, born Phoebe Ann Mosey, was an American sharpshooter and exhibition shooter. Oakley's "amazing talent" led to a starring role in Buffalo Bill's Wild West show. Her timely rise to fame allowed her to become one of the first American women to be a "superstar". Oakley also was variously known as "Miss Annie Oakley", "Little Sure Shot", "Watanya Cicilla", "Phoebe Anne Oakley", "Mrs. Annie Oakley", "Mrs. Annie Butler" and "Mrs. Frank Butler".
