Who is Anthony Arnove?

Anthony Arnove (born 1969) is a freelance literary editor, agent and activist based in Brooklyn. He is on the board of directors of Haymarket Books, and is active in the National Writers Union and the International Socialist Organization. Arnove was born in 1969. He earned BA from Oberlin College, and a MA and Ph.D. from Brown University, Rhode Island, where he studied in the Modern Culture and Media Program, and joined the International Socialist Organization. He worked for seven years as an editor and publisher at South End Press before becoming a freelance editor and writer moving to New York. Arnove is best known for his books on Iraq and the Iraq War. Arnove is the author of the book Iraq: The Logic of Withdrawal, published in hardcover by the New Press and in paperback by Haymarket Books. Arnove toured the country promoting the book in spring 2006 as part of the New Press' "End the War Tour". Arnove is also the editor of Iraq Under Siege, published by South End Press, the co-editor with Howard Zinn of Voices of a People's History of the United States, published by Seven Stories Press, and the editor of The Essential Noam Chomsky, published by the New Press.
