Who was Anthony C. Deane?
Anthony Charles Deane was Canon of Worcester Cathedral, poet and writer of religious books. He did undergraduate studies at Clare College, before he became vicar of Malvern. He is best known for his series of popular Christian books.
In 1929 he was appointed Canon of the ninth stall at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, a position he held until 1946.
