Who was Anthony Clarke Booth?

Anthony Clarke Booth VC was an English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.

Born in Carrington, Nottingham, he was 32 years old, and a sergeant in the 80th Regiment of Foot, British Army during the Zulu War when the following deed took place for which he was awarded the VC.
