Who was Anthony Williams?
Anthony Lewis Elliott Williams was the third Bishop of Bermuda.
Born on 6 February 1892 and educated at The King's School, Worcester and Exeter College, Oxford, he was ordained in 1915. His first post was as a Curate at St. John's Church, Kidderminster after which he was Chaplain to the Bishop of Ripon. He then held incumbencies at St Mary, Banbury and St Peter, Bournemouth. In 1944 he was considered for the post of Bishop of Buckingham but not appointed. He died on 31 August 1975.
