Who was Arbab Jehangir Khan?

Arbab Jehangir Khan Khalil regarded as chief of the Khalil tribe, was a Pakistani politician hailed from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. He served as the 14th Chief Minister from April 7, 1985 to May 29, 1988 and then as the Leader of opposition in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa assembly from 1989 to 1990. He also served as Federal Minister for Petroleum Resources, Housing and Works, Narcotics control and Senior Minister of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

He was born at the home of Nawab Arbab Sher Ali Khan. A lawyer by profession, he earned the distinction of being electorally undefeated in every election he contested in his 32 year political career before retiring from politics prior to the 2002 general elections .In the 2008 general elections his son Arbab Alamgir Khan contested from a PPP ticket and is elected as an MNA from NA2, who is also currently serving as the Federal Minister for Communication.
