Who was Archibald Arnott?

Archibald Arnott was a British Army surgeon best remembered as Napoleon's doctor on St. Helena, and who was present at the Emperor's autopsy. He moved back to Ecclefechan in his retirement and is buried in Ecclefechan churchyard.
