Who is Aristodemus of Cumae?
Aristodemus, was a tyrant of Cumae. As a strategos, he defeated the Etruscan armies in 524 BC, and in 508 BC in the Battle of Aricia. He was a successful man of the people who overthrew the aristocratic faction, became a tyrant himself, and eventually was assassinated around 490 BC.
