Dr. Aubrey K. Lucas is an American academician, and the former President and current President Emeritus of the University of Southern Mississippi. Lucas received his Bachelors of Science and Master of Arts degree from the University of Southern Mississippi while attaining his Ph.D from Florida State University. In 1975 Lucas became the 6th President of the University of Southern Mississippi.He also served as chair of the American Association of Colleges and Universities and on the board of the American Council on Education.
