Who is Babacar Gaye?
Babacar Gaye is a Senegalese Army General who is currently the UN Military Adviser for Peacekeeping Operations. General Gaye took over a temporary command of the United Nations Supervision Mission in Syria.
On 12 June 2013, he was appointed as Special Representative and Head of the United Nations Integrated Peacebuilding Office for the Central African Republic by the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
