Who was Bernard Vann?

Lieutenant Colonel The Reverend Bernard William Vann VC MC & Bar was an English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. He was the only ordained clergyman of the Church of England to win the VC in the Great War as a combatant.
