Who was Bohdan Stupka?

Bohdan Sylvestrovych Stupka was a popular Ukrainian actor and the minister of culture of Ukraine. He was born in Kulików, Poland. In 2001 he was a member of the jury at the 23rd Moscow International Film Festival. At the 26th Moscow International Film Festival he won the award for Best Actor for his role in Our Own.

Stupka was recognized as the most famous living Ukrainian actor. He has played more than a hundred roles in films and over fifty in theaters. Stupka has been awarded the title Artist of Ukraine and People's Artist of the USSR. Hero of Ukraine.

His son Ostap Stupka is also an actor.
