Who is Brad Listi?

Brad Listi is an American author. His first novel, Attention. Deficit. Disorder., was published by Simon & Schuster in February 2006, and went on to become a Los Angeles Times Bestseller. His second book, co-authored with Justin Benton, is called "Board," an experimental work of nonfiction literary collage, published by TNB Books.

He is the founding editor of the online culture magazine and literary collective, The Nervous Breakdown, which he developed after gaining a substantial fan following by blogging on MySpace. The Nervous Breakdown now has more than 700 contributors and featured authors, including Bret Easton Ellis, Jennifer Egan, Chuck Palahniuk, Steve Almond, Melissa Febos, Tao Lin, Stephen Elliott, Jonathan Evison, Emily Rapp, D.R. Haney, Ron Currie Jr., Gina Frangello, Alexander Chee, Jeff Ragsdale, and Margaret Cho. The site also has its own monthly book club, called The TNB Book Club. And it has a publishing imprint as well, called TNB Books.

In 2011, Listi launched an author interview podcast called 'Other People with Brad Listi.' The show features in-depth interviews with contemporary authors. Guests have included George Saunders, Cheryl Strayed, Erik Larson, Lydia Millet, Blake Butler, Dana Spiotta, Lauren Groff, Tao Lin, Ayana Mathis, T.C. Boyle, Michael Kimball, Jami Attenberg, Lorin Stein, Heidi Julavits, Maria Semple, Sheila Heti, Jess Walter, Tayari Jones, Ben Fountain, Ben Marcus, Hari Kunzru, David Shields, Adam Levin, and more.
