Who is Bruce Gaitsch?

Bruce R. Gaitsch is an American guitarist, composer, and producer. He is best known for working with notable musicians such as Richard Marx, Chicago, Peter Cetera, Madonna, Agnetha Fältskog and many others as a session musician and songwriter. Gaitsch co-wrote the Madonna song "La Isla Bonita", a single that reached number one on many international charts and earned Gaitsch an award from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers in 1987.

He also wrote songs for Philip Bailey, Evelyn "Champagne" King, Timothy B. Schmidt, Kansas, Poco, Stacey Q, Bill Champlin, Jennifer Rush, Kelly Keagy, Lionville and co-wrote countless songs with Richard Marx.

In 1995, he and Richard Marx released the single Haunt Me Tonight. Gaitsch currently plays with Peter Cetera and appeared on many of his solo albums. The more he has worked with The Fixx, Animotion, Curtis Mayfield, Pebbles, Tommy Denander, Guy Pratt, Tim Rice, Leland Sklar, Bobby Kimball, Siedah Garrett, Dave Koz, John Keane, Tommy Funderburk, Steve Lukather and has contributed vocals on records by Ilse DeLange.
