Who is Casey Clabough?

Casey Clabough, is an American writer, farmer, and Associate Professor at Lynchburg College, where he also serves as editor of the James Dickey Review and as English Graduate Director.

Clabough was born in 1974 in Richmond, Virginia, and raised primarily on a farm in Appomattox County, Virginia. However, he attributes his culture to the Appalachian roots of his family, who lived in the Smoky Mountains for over two hundred years and were one of the founding families of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Clabough currently administers a farm in Appomattox, Virginia, teaches at Lynchburg College, and performs editorial work as both general editor of the James Dickey Review and as literature section editor of the Encyclopedia Virginia.

Clabough's many awards include fellowships from the Institute for Southern Studies, the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities, and the Harrison Institute at the University of Virginia. He is also the recipient of an Artists' Grant from the Brazilian government as well as the Bangladesh International Literary Award.

Clabough's work is widely published in anthologies and periodicals, including the Sewanee Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, and Creative Nonfiction.
