Who is Cesare Tamarozzo?
Cesare Tamarozzo or Tamaroccio was an Italian painter of the School of Bologna, active during the of the early 16th century, the pupil of Francesco Francia.
He worked alongside Giovanni Maria Chiodarolo in painting two frescoes: The Baptism of Valerian and a Martyrdom of St Cecilia were painted by him for the oratory of S. Cecilia in Bologna. A Madonna and Child, with young S. John is in Museo Poldi Pezzoli in Milan.
