Who was Charles Kingsmill?
Admiral Sir Charles Edmund Kingsmill was the first director of the Department of the Naval Service of Canada after playing a prominent role in the establishment of the Royal Canadian Navy in 1910. Along with Walter Hose, he is considered the father of the Royal Canadian Navy.
