Who was Cheves Perky?
Mary Cheves West Perky was an American psychologist who studied under Edward B. Titchener at Cornell University. In 1910, she performed the "Banana Experiment", which led to the discovery of the Perky effect.
Perky also studied the cooperative movement, and became the Associate Secretary of the Cooperative League of America.
