Chris Collingwood is a British-born American singer, songwriter, artist and founding member of the power pop band Fountains of Wayne. Collingwood's major influences are The Beatles, The Zombies, The Hollies, Aztec Camera, Squeeze, and Blue Öyster Cult.

Collingwood was born in Britain but grew up in Sellersville, Pennsylvania. He graduated from The Hill School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. He lives with his wife in Northampton, Massachusetts. The couple married in 1996.
