Who is Chris Schroeder?

Schroeder joined the investment team in acquiring the Company by the

summer of 2005, and joined the management team as Chief Executive

Officer and President.

Prior to this, Schroeder was a leader in the high-quality interactive

content and interactive marketing fields. He was Chief Executive

Officer and Publisher of washingtonpost.newsweek interactive, which

hosts washingtonpost.com and newsweek.msnbc.com among other sites.

Washingtonpost.com is consistently the number one local news and

information site and among the top new sites nationally and

internationally, with over eight million unique users and 250 million

page views each month. WPNI more than tripled in revenue and audience

during Schroeder’s tenure. He also was Chief Executive of LEGI-SLATE, a

leading online provider of news , analyses and data pertaining to

federal and state legislation and regulation for businesses, law firms,

government, educational institutions and other organizations. He

successfully sold this company in 2000.

Schroeder was a co-founder and chairman of The Online Publishers

Association (The OPA), the leading association of top quality online

content publishers (The Washington Post, New York Times, CNN, MSNBC,

Dow Jones, ESPN, Conde Nast among many others). The OPA has done some

of the leading research on the influence of the Internet generally in

media consumption, and the power of interactive advertising. He served

on the Board of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB). He is an

active speaker on Internet issues and has written for The Wall Street

Journal, Newsweek, Advertising Age, MediaPost and now has a monthly

column in Media Magazine. He has won numerous awards in the interactive

field including being one of the first interactive executives to the

American Advertising Federation (AAF) Hall of Achievement, recognizing

the top media and marketing executives in the country under 40. He

serves on the Board of Advisors to MBC, the owner of some of the most

innovative creative advertising companies in the country.

Schroeder has worked extensively in private equity and investment

banking, and served under President George HW Bush in the Department of

State. He is active in several non-profits, The Council on Foreign

Relations, and The YPO. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard

College and with honors from the Harvard Business School.
