Who is Ciaran Joyce?

Ciaran David P. Joyce in South Glamorgan Glamorganshire Wales - Cardiff is an actor and TV presenter of Irish descent, best known for playing Laurence 'Lol' Plakova in CBBC's The Story of Tracy Beaker. He attended the Cardiff schools, St. Josephs primary and Corpus Christi High school.

As well as his role in Tracy Beaker, Ciaran has also played 'Alex Ellis' in Holby City, 'Smiler' in Torchwood, 'Boris Dracula' in Young Dracula and 'Robbie Parker' in After You've Gone, all for the BBC. Other credits include All about us: The Beacons for Channel 4, Digital Vision's Oscar, and Prolific Films' Summer Scars playing 'Bingo'.

Ciaran has also played numerous theatre roles including 'Dandini' in Cinderella, Aladdin, Peter Pan, Hawth Theatre, Gaveroche in Les Misérables, 'Lozzo' in Off The Streets Project, 'Scot' in Brassed Off and Vince in Two Princes, both the latter for Theatr Clwyd.

He was a continuity presenter for the CBBC Channel in December 2008, fronting in-vision links alongside fellow The Story of Tracy Beaker actor Ben Hanson. He also recently starred in an online BBC drama called PO5T which was written by the writers of Young Dracula. He stars alongside Darragh Mortell, Harry Ferrier and Clare Thomas.
