Who is Cindy Chavez?
Cindy Chavez is an organized labor executive and American politician who served as vice mayor of San Jose, California. While a member of the San Jose City Council, she represented Council District Three. Following an unsuccessful run for mayor of San Jose, Chavez worked as a consultant, and then returned to the South Bay AFL-CIO Labor Council, where she served as political director prior to her election to city council, as Executive Officer.
