Who is Clair M. Poulson?

Clair M. Poulson uses his experience with law enforcement and the justice system when he writes novels. Because of his personal experience he is able to accurately portray characters and real life settings.

Poulson has had over thirty-five year experience in the criminal justice system. He began as a military policeman in the U.S. army and then he became a trooper in the Utah State Highway Patrol. During those years in law enforcement Poulson also served as deputy sheriff and later he was elected county sheriff for Duchesne County. He served as the county sheriff for eight years and then he became a justice court judge for thirteen years. Poulson has also served in other positions under the judicial system such as, the Board of Justice Court Judges, a member of the Utah Judicial Council for six years, and as the education chairman for the Justice Courts for two years. As of April 2006 Clair Poulson is a member of the Ethics Advisory Committee.

Poulson is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also known as Mormons. He has served in numerous church callings and continues to serve the church today.
