Who is Craig Wiseman?
Craig Michael Wiseman is an American country music songwriter. Active since the late 1980s as a songwriter, he has had his songs recorded by Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Kenny Chesney, LeAnn Rimes, and several other acts.
His credits include the Number One singles "The Good Stuff" by Kenny Chesney and "Live Like You Were Dying" by Tim McGraw, which were declared by Billboard as the Number One country songs for the years of 2002 and 2004, respectively; "Live Like You Were Dying" also earned Wiseman the 2004 Grammy Award for Best Country Song.
Three of his compositions won awards for being among the most played songs of 2007: Rimes' Top Five hit "Something's Gotta Give", Chesney's Number One hit "Summertime", and Brooks & Dunn's Top 20 "Hillbilly Deluxe".
Several more of Wiseman's compositions have been Number One hits, including "Just Another Day in Paradise" and "In a Real Love" by Phil Vassar, "Love Me If You Can" by Toby Keith, "If the Good Die Young" by Tracy Lawrence, "She's Got It All" for Chesney, and "Tell Her" by Lonestar, as well as "Everywhere", "Where the Green Grass Grows", and "The Cowboy in Me" for McGraw and "Hillbilly Bone" by Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins.
