Who is Daniel Apai?

Daniel Apai is a Hungarian professor and astronomer at The University of Arizona. He is known for his studies of astrobiology, extrasolar planets, and the formation of planetary systems. Using the Hubble Space Telescope and the Spitzer Space Telescope he carried out pioneering observations to derive one-dimensional maps of clouds in brown dwarf and exoplanet atmospheres. He studied physics at the University of Szeged, Hungary, and received his Ph.D. from the University of Heidelberg in 2004. He was on astronomer at the Space Telescope Science Institute.

Daniel Apai is author of over 140 professional publications and editor of the book Protoplanetary Dust, published by Cambridge University Press.
