Who is Daniel Ghiță?
Daniel Ghiţă is a Romanian super heavyweight kickboxer signed to the GLORY promotion where he has been the runner-up of the 2012 Glory Heavyweight Grand Slam. He is also a former K-1 and Local Kombat fighter and the last It's Showtime World Heavyweight champion. Known for his devastating leg kicks, which earned him the nickname "The Savage Samurai" in Japan, he is widely considered to be one of the greatest heavyweight kickboxers in activity. As of 21 January 2014, Ghiţă is ranked the #1 heavyweight in the world by GLORY and #2 by LiverKick.com.
