Who is Daniel Patrick Kessler?
Daniel Patrick Kessler is an American painter living in Washington, D.C.
Daniel Kessler is mostly famous for his Dog with Apple paintings and his rendering of the Texan flag. His paintings often depict geometrically-shaped animals, science-related matters and architectural studies. He was given a presidential commission to paint the White House, and one of his paintings was used by President Clinton and Mrs. Clinton as their Christmas card in 1996.
Kessler has listed his major influences as: modern artists such as Joseph Cornell, Man Ray, Robert Rauschenberg, and Gregory Gillespie; the 17th century Dutch masters; and the Italian Renaissance painters.
Kessler exhibits his art frequently at Eastern Market, Washington, D.C.
