Who is Dannah Gresh?
Dannah Gresh is a Christian author and public speaker. She lives in State College, Pennsylvania, United States and has a son and two daughters. When she was 15, she engaged in sexual activity with her boyfriend. In 1996, she founded Pure Freedom, an organization that teaches young girls about chastity. She also leads an organization that provides abstinence-only sex education in Zambia. She wrote the book And the Bride Wore White: Seven Secrets to Sexual Purity, which was published in 1999. She cowrote the book Lies Young Women Believe: And the Truth that Sets Them Free with Nancy Leigh DeMoss. Gresh has also written about how to parent teenagers. In 2013, she led the Secret Keeper Girl Crazy Hair Tour, a series of Christian events for mothers and their tween daughters which featured 1 Girl Nation concerts and talks about modesty. In the book Satan's Playbook: Identifying and Defending Against Satan's Temptations, Jason B. Watson commends Gresh on her teachings about modesty, particularly as outlined in her book Secret Keeper: The Delicate Power of Modesty.
