Who was Danny Frisella?
Daniel Vincent Frisella, was a professional baseball player who played pitcher in the Major Leagues from 1967 to 1976, mostly as a relief pitcher specializing in throwing a forkball, a pitch taught by Diego Segui. He would play for the New York Mets, Atlanta Braves, St. Louis Cardinals, San Diego Padres, and Milwaukee Brewers, during which he earned the nickname Frisbee. He went to High School at Serra High School in San Mateo. Frisella's career was cut short when he was killed in a dune buggy accident.
Frisella attended Washington State University, where he played college baseball for the Cougars from 1965–1966.
