Who is Danny Smith?
Daniel "Danny" Smith is an executive producer, writer and voice actor on the American animated television series Family Guy. He has been with the show since its inception and throughout the years has contributed many episodes, such as "Holy Crap", "The Father, the Son, and the Holy Fonz", "Chitty Chitty Death Bang" and the Christmas themed episodes, "Road to the North Pole" and "A Very Special Family Guy Freakin' Christmas". He is the only Family Guy writer who hails from the State of Rhode Island, ) and was instrumental in the creation of the Griffins’ fictional home town of Quahog. Smith graduated from Smithfield High School in 1977 and from Rhode Island College in 1981.
He is the voice of Ernie the Giant Chicken, Buzz Killington, The Evil Monkey, and Al Harrington of Al Harrington's Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm-Flailing Tubeman Emporium & Warehouse. In commentaries, he has stated that he recorded the fast-talking segments in one or two takes without any form of audio editing.
An experienced sitcom writer, he has written for several television shows, such as Nurses, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Yes, Dear and Head of the Class.
