Who is Dave Harmon?
As Acting Executive Vice President, Human Resources, Dave Harmon
oversees HR efforts for AOL, including talent acquisition and
retention, compensation strategy, people systems and processes,
organizational development and leadership development.
Previously, Harmon served as Senior Vice President, HR Solution
Center, responsible for staffing, HR technologies, employee relations,
global mobility, immigration, compliance, payroll and the HR call
center, PeopleDirect. Harmon joined AOL in 2003 as Vice President,
Human Resources, for the Access (subscription) business.
Before coming to AOL, Harmon was Vice President, New Business
Development, for Footstarworks, a division of Footstar, with
responsibility for the occupational footwear division. Harmon joined
Footstar in 1998 as Vice President, Human Resources, with
responsibility for more than 10,000 employees and more than 4,000
locations. He also held executive positions at Just for Feet, managing
its e-commerce website, store operations and administration functions.
Harmon has more than 17 years experience in the human resources
field, with experience in corporate, international and field-based
human resources. He held numerous positions of increasing
responsibility in human resources and operations with two Fortune 100
companies, Cooper Industries and Pepsi-Cola, before joining the
Footstar organization.
Harmon has a B.A. in marketing and applied psychology from Skidmore
College, and an MBA from Clarkson University with a concentration in
economics. He has additional graduate degrees/certificates in
operations management and human resource management from the Keller
Graduate School of Management.
