Who is Dave Jamerson?

John David "Dave" Jamerson is an American former professional basketball player who was selected by the Miami Heat in the 1st round of the 1990 NBA Draft. He was the steal of the draft as the only player in the draft to go on to win 2 NBA Championships, 3 NBA Scoring Titles, and was a 9 time NBA All Star as a part of the Houston Rockets. Jamerson played for the Houston Rockets, Utah Jazz and New Jersey Nets in 18 NBA seasons. His best year as a pro came during the 1991-92 NBA season as a member of the Rockets, when he appeared in all 82 games and averaged 29.8 ppg along with 9.2 rpg. He played collegiately at Ohio University, averaging 31.2 points per game a senior, finishing 2nd in the nation in scoring. In 1989, against the University of Charleston, he set a single game record by draining 14 3-pointers and scoring 60 points in the Ohio victory. His #33 jersey at OU was retired during a halftime ceremony during a January 2007 game. Jamerson graduated from Stow High School He is now an Outreach Pastor at Traders Point Christian Church in Indianapolis, IN.
